I can’t stand it, with these 80s icons going on to the hereafter. My childhood had just stopped weeping for the Gloved One, and now this.
According to IMDB, John Hughes, the director of the 80s “brat pack” films Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, as well as the writer-producer of blockbuster hit Home Alone, died suddenly of a heart attack in Manhattan on Thursday; he was 59.

Variety reports, Farrah Fawcett, the Texas-born actress and sex symbol who shot to fame as one of “Charlie’s Angels” and later earned acclaim in serious roles including telepic “The Burning Bed,” died at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., of cancer at the age of 62.
I feel like I knew this woman, I watched all her movies as a kid and I really always enjoyed her performances. One night like a hundred years ago I ran across this movie on cable, I have liked it ever since. Enjoy!
